To all AusGamers site holders:
We are having regular problems with old, unmaintained sites running insecure scripts being exploited - usually to send spam. As a result, we are embarking on a vigorous cleanout of old sites that are no longer being used.
Any sites that are found to be being exploited will be shut down and deleted immediately. Any sites that look old and unused will similarly be removed. Sites that have no index page will be removed.

Do you guys even answer the e-mails from support from people that have lost there username password for ausgamers hosting, because I sent in request to have the information recovered back in November 2005.

Sometimes, depending on how polite the request is, how much time we have and whether or not we feel it is worth the effort for us to go trawling for old details :) We generally hope that people took serious notice of the warning at the top of the emails:
PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THIS EMAIL, IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT YOUR AUSGAMERS HOSTING - SAVE IT BEFORE FORMATTING YOUR COMPUTER.
I am hoping to automate that process soon.

cool.
our ausgamers site has gone thru a few administrators over its very long history, so if there is a way of recovering that orginal site registration information for our current adminisrtators team (myself and the site/club president), that would be very much appreciated indeedy :)
cheers,
Dave.

Hi guys,
Is there a list of sites that have been removed?
And if a site has been removed is there any course of action to have it reinstated or atleast its data/content recovered?
As webmaster for asrg.gql.org/www.asrg.org, im really coping alot of flak about the site being down for the last few days, while *i* understand your technical issues, our 200+ gaming members are getting toey :)
any news on the status of these cleanouts, and the webservers downtime muchly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave.

G'day,
I'm getting the following error; (as are most sites listed on the hosted sites page)
Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Has my website been deleted or is it because all the hosting sites have gone offline?
I can't login via ftp as it gives me an incorrect username/password error.
Cheers.

Damn, where am I now going to host photoshopped pictures of tung into a sims scene with rockape holding reso peering through the window. Any way I can get back into the site to retreive it... for sentimental purposes.

If you want your site back you'll have to use the contact form; it is highly likely noone will ever read these comments.
